 Powered by Max Banner Ads

Every online business provides great service to generate satisfaction among their customers. As each and every customer receives satisfaction over their products or the services they get, there is a great chance that they will become a return customer and buy again. Better yet, they will recommend you to other people that could generate more business for you and your site.

As more traffic is driven to your site, you can entice many of them to subscribe to your mailing list or opt-in list. This is a list where the website visitors agree to be sent promotional materials such as newsletters, catalogs and such that could keep them updated about your site/blog or the niche of your site. These promotional materials are sent via e-mail to the members of the list in different time intervals.

When using e-mail as the media of your marketing and advertisements, you eliminate the need for high costs. Email is free and if you can manage to make your own promotional advertisements you can also save a bundle there. With an opt-in subscribers list, you are pretty sure that what you are sending out is received, viewed and read by the subscribers and not simply being deleted. They have signed up for service and have consented in receiving it thats why it is called Opt-In subscriber, they agree to receive your emails.

This means that there are constant reminders to your subscribers about all your products, new products, blog updates and services as well as any promotions and special deals you are having. There is also the chance that they can be forwarded to other potential customers as they tell their friends and families about you and your site.

Of course you should be also aware that a subscriber may unsubscribe when they feel that they are not getting what they want or expected. Make sure that they are satisfied with your opt-in marketing strategies and keep them excited in receiving your newsletters and catalogs. Here are some tips that can help you build a list of eager subscribers.

1.- Make your promotional materials interesting and fun. Try to use a little creativity but not too over artsy. Build around what your product or service is about. For example; if you are selling car parts, put some pictures of what is new in the auto parts world, a new wing door possibly that can fit any car and make it look like a Lamborghini.

2.-Try to research what people are looking for, these way, you stay one step ahead of them all the time and you will be their bearer of new tidings. They will be eager to receive what you are sending them because they new you always have fresh and new things to share with them.

3.-Write good articles that can be very informational but light at the same time. If your subscribers enjoy your articles, they will go to your site by clicking the links that you will be putting on your newsletter to read some more. You can provide articles that can connect to many people. Be diverse in your articles. Put something humorous, then put something informational, then put something that has both.

Are you wary about this because you don’t like writing? No problem, there are many professional and experienced article writers that can do the job for you for minimal fees. They know what they are doing and can provide the need that you have for your newsletters, the money that you pay for your articles are going to be met by the many sign-ups and the potential profit from the sales that you will get or automate your writing with a software.

Create and send an E-book to your customers about anything that is related to your business or site. Use your knowledge and expertise in the field you have chosen to help other people who are similarly interested. Offer this e-book for free. You can write about anything informational and helpful to your subscribers. For example; you can do manuals and guides in so many things. This e-book could be used as a reference for many people.

Share this e-book with everyone, even other sites; just make sure that they don’t change the links in the e-book that will lead people to your site. If you want, you can always get some people to write it for you just like your articles. Your investment once again will be covered by the great marketing this will generate.

Add e-coupons in your newsletters that will help them avail to special discounts. Put a control number in your e-coupon so that they can only be used once. When people get discounts that can be found in your newsletters, they will be eager to receive your newsletter in anticipation of what you are promoting next.

If your subscribers can get benefits from your newsletters, they will be very eager to receive them. Just don’t flood your mailing list with mails so that you don’t annoy your subscribers.

Are you building your email lists already? If not, what are you waiting for.

To your Success,

Luis Torres

  1. I have to admit that I’m someone who hates automated article writing software. I don’t use it, as I’m kind of a prolific writer, but what one finds is that the voice of the person writing is lost because the words look, well, canned and phony, with almost no life to them. Of course, some people love that; just not my style.

But it’s an interesting proposition you put forward, giving more promotional items away to get more subscribers. On one of my other blogs, I’m having a contest to try to increase subscribers, with lots of prizes, but it seems people are “prized” out of online contests, so it’s not doing well. And we’re talking about a first prize package close to $500 in items.

Nice article; thanks for sharing. Now if I can only read the captcha below and type it in correctly.

  2. @Mitch- When I use the writing software, I do it more like a research and then I re-wrote the article with wordflood (another software) that helps you to make them unique and of course my own way of writing, so in this way it will looks and feel like mine.

I think giving away something valuable to get more subscribers, more than a proposition it is a must, it is very hard to convince someone to give his data just for nothing, you need to “bribe” them.

Sorry to hear that your contest it is not doing so well. I recently finish one in here, I want it more contestants but it was ok.

Sorry for the captcha, I couldnt find how to change the color. I can assure you, you type it the code well 🙂

  3. It’s just hard to read the captcha; I actually wrote about my dislike for captcha on my blog. I can’t tell if you have a WordPress blog, but if you do, Askimet works wonders, so much so that you don’t need captcha.

As for having a product or something as a freebie, I’ll go along with that for some things, and it does help to get people to sign up for certain things. I use a small giveaway for my newsletters, but not for my blog.

By the way, do I assume you’re a Pittsburgh Steelers fan? I’ve got them as my pick to win the Super Bowl.

Mitchs last blog post..75,000 And Counting

  4. @Mitch- I do have WordPress. You know I used akismet, but I took it away just to see if I got spam but I soon see I dint had anything. That was strange since my akismet told me everyday I got 20 or 80 spam comments but when I took it away, nothing happened, not a single sapm comment in more than 2 weeks, I still dont get much spam, so I dont know how really works for my site.

About the freebies, I use it for my newsletter only same as you, not for my rss readers.

Man I hope you become a very good fortune teller and Pittsburgh Steeler win their 6th Superbowl. BTW, you are right I am a Die Hard Steeler Fan. I guess you pick that from the cursor, huh? 🙂

  5. The important question to ask, though, is if you’re getting the same amount of activity, i.e. visits and commenters, that you were getting before. Captcha’s sometimes drive people away; they’ll read, but not comment because they might not want to deal with it. As for Askimet finding way more spam, well, that’s what it’s trained to do, but I don’t think there’s a correlation between having Askimet and receiving more spam; at least I haven’t seen it.

Yes, I noticed by your cursor. Good luck with the game.

  6. @Mitch- It was immediately when I check it, the next day after I deactivate the akismet I didnt got any comment spam, until now that I got no more than 1 or 2 in a month, but when I had the akismet this plugin keep telling me everyday he had stopped 20 or 80 spam comments, I dont know where they go after I deactivated the plugin.

Thanks, I hope Steelers became the Champions again.

  7. @Krunal- Hi, the autorresponder I use it is Aweber and fully recommend it. You can even make a Blog Broadcast, that allows you to send a reminder of the latest posts from your blog, you can choose the number of posts before sending out a broadcast email to your subscribers.

@Michael- I use the writing software to do some research and really gaves me a good starting point, it helps when your mind get blank, it happens sometimes. I do not use it always but it helps you to create a lot of articles for Article submission and increment your links and traffic.

    @Classifieds- Thanks for your comment.

  8. @Ben- Oh yes that one is very useful to bribe people to subscribe to your list. Whenever you release you ebook you are truly welcome to come here and leave a comment so all we know. I want to be first inline to download it and read it.

  9. You can build email lists for free, if you like contact me and ill coach you on how to do this properly but roughly what you should be doing is going on sites like facebook and seeing the problems people are having and offer them a free way out of that problem by providing a program in exchange for their email address
